Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing financial services organisation based in Canary Wharf, are seeking a RECENTLY qualified Financial Accountant to join their team(ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CIPFA). The role will be initially to WFH however there will be a requirement to work on site for part of the week once restrictions have been lifted.

Your key responsibilities include
To assist in the production of the Corporation's financial statements and production of schedules for the external auditors.

To ensure financial controls are maintained across the Corporation both actively through defining and embedding strong governance and robust processes and through detection controls mainly through SoFP reconciliations.

To run the monthly Private Finance Initiative (PFI) accounting model and scheme asset registers.

Management of the accounts payable function at Nest, including line management of the part-time Accounts Payable Assistant.

You MUST have previous experience of working in a financial accounting position with a RECENTLY attained accounting qualification, (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CIPFA) and an understanding of statutory accounts, FREM and IFRS.
This experience can be from within practice or industry
You will have strong problem-solving skills, be a forward thinker for detecting issues and have very strong numerical skills and Excel modelling knowledge.
