Job Description
My client is currently looking for a full time Financial Accountant to work at their city centre based offices, on a temporary contract until June 2023.
This is at a competitive rate, working 36 hours per week
Duties include but not restricted to
? To contribute to the production of the interim, final, and whole of government accounts.
? To support in the production of audit evidence and answering audit queries for internal and external auditors.
? To control the production and review of monthly control account and payroll reconciliations, ensuring that they are carried out to a high standard and on a timely basis.
? To maintain and improve effective financial control, ensuring financial processes and procedures are robust.
? To be responsible for asset accounting and the maintenance of the fixed asset register, including right of use assets under IFRS 16.
? To prepare the monthly reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
? To manage the monitoring, drawdown and availability of cash moving through the Ofsted bank accounts.
? To be responsible for supporting the team manager and Financial Controller, making recommendations for change and improvements as required.
Person Specification:
? Qualified CCAB accountant or actively studying towards qualification with a recognised CCAB institute. Would also consider someone who is AAT qualified.
? Demonstrable experience in finance-related role, with a good understanding of financial accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
? Demonstrable experience in a similar finance-relatedrole, with a good understanding of financial accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards.
? Experience of accounting software packages and advanced excel skills.
? Experience of working with large data sets, ensuring the integrity of data and producing reports for senior management.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with others in a professional and positive manner.
? Good working knowledge of IT packages particularly word processing, SharePoint, spreadsheets and e-mail systems.
