Job Description


Our client base in Cardiff a well established and very successful business are recruiting for the position of Financial Controller to work at group level.

This is a full-time role, office-based, hands-on, and responsible for the running of the Finance department, the benefits include flexible working hours Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance Director and duties will include, daily work distribution, Bank Reconciliations, responsibility for Sales and Purchase ledgers, month-end journals, and reconciliations.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a financial controller will aid in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organisational targets, and developing financial plans that support the organisational strategy.

Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant with experience in Sage.

Required Qualifications, experience and skills
" Minimum of one years` experience in a similar role
" Master`s degree in accounting / equivalent or qualified accountant
" Proven experience in finance management
" Experience and highly proficient in Sage accounting software
" Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
" Strong time management skills
" Interact professionally with all staff members
" Excellent interpersonal skills
" Strong Microsoft Office skills
" Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
" Strong organisational, written and verbal skills
" Strong leadership qualities
" Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
" Auditing experience
" Compliance oriented

" Publishing financial statements & reports
" Overseeing accounting operations
" Analysing financial data & developing plans for financial growth
" Monitoring expenditure
" Forecasting revenue
" Coordinating auditing processes
" Ensuring accuracy of financial information.
" Monitoring internal controls.
" Overseeing and preparing income statements.
" Participating in budgeting processes.
" Managing financial transactions.
" Streamlining and improving accounting functions and operations.
