We're a successful independent firm within the construction sector who have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to come on in and run the Accounts function within the St Albans site.
You will be working independently running the accounts function from the office in St Albans. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director who is based in another location, which is why we're looking for a confident Financial Controller who can use own initiative and implement and make necessary changes.
-You will deal with daily cash flow management of the group and sub-contractor application or payments prior to authorisation.
-You will prepare monthly financial / management accounts including P&L, Balance sheets, budget monitoring and cashflow and presenting in monthly board meetings.
-Preparation of short term as well as annual and future forecasts and budgets.
-You will assist in the preparation of long-term business plans, being able to analyse and model new opportunities.
-Preparation and submission of;
-Annual Account returns
-Quarterly VAT returns
-Monthly payroll & pension
The successful candidate:
-You will be fully ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualified
-Construction industry background
-Knowledge of Xero and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
-Commercial background having exposure to P&L, Balance sheets, budgeting and forecasting.
Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 with standard holiday and pension as well as on site parking.
