A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Financial Controller to join a growing business with locations throughout the South West. They're opening a new office in Chepstow in September 2022 and this role will be based in their Bristol office until then.

The company will consider flexible/remote working.

This is a brand new role due to company growth!

Duties - Planning, Steering and Controlling

• Analysis of investment plans
• Steer the short-term planning (budget/forecast) process
• Analyse results, report findings to management and ensure/supervise
• implementation of action plans
• Support management in all finance related issues / projects
• Develop proposals to realise synergies and efficiency improvements on Company level
• Reporting
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to management
• Co-operation with external auditors and follow-up of their reports
• Tax returns for income tax, capital tax and indirect taxes
• Net Working Capital Management
• Cash planning, management and funding requirements

Skills and competencies

• Good understanding of processes
• Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Project management skills
• Ability to prepare and work with reports
• Cost optimisation oriented
• Ability to work under pressure (tight deadlines)
• Team player

Educational background/ Work experience

• Qualified at AAT level, preferably level 4, and preferably with more than two years post qualification experience
• Previous finance management experience in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of financial and cost accounting
• Tax experience and exposure to HMRC processes
