Head of Finance

Working for a fast growing SME business based in Chertsey, this newly created role will suit an experienced Financial Controller, Head of Finance who is looking to further their career and develop into a Finance Director as they grow with the role. The company has been established for 13 years and are in a new phase of growth. You will have a real opportunity to develop and make the role your own. Reporting straight into the board you will have a solid impact in making the company even more successful while developing your own career path.

The role:
" Overall control of the companies and group accounting functions.
" Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the board.
" Review reports and analyse projections of sales and income against actual figures and suggest methods of improving and planning process.
" Contributes to the achievement of the company / group objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
" Monitoring cash flow and identifying cash flow needs well before issues arise.
" Overseas all accounting procedures and systems used by the Company and group
" Corporate finance: managing company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate.
" Financial planning and related ongoing advice for the Directors

What you will need to succeed:
" Strong technical financial knowledge and a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
" Previous experience of working in a SME business with strong growth plans
" Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and budgeting & forecasting
" Be comfortable managing a team and helping to develop processes and procedures.
