Job Description

Are you a qualified Accountant looking for an excited new challenge? Are you fluent in both English and French? We have a fantastic opportunity for you!

The role has remote working capabilities, you will be able to attend the office between 1-2 time a week maximum if preferred!

Our client is a European provider of B2B digital financial and technical services operating across several countries and they are expanding their services across the UK, US and Canada and this role will support exciting growth across the region. From their Birmingham office, you will work with colleagues in Paris to provide timely and accurate financial support to the business. You will be comfortable with the detail of transactional accounting, as well as providing insightful analysis and stringent financial control.


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer your responsibilities will include the following

  • Preparing and analysing month end accounts Managing cash collection
  • Preparing statements reconciliations (G/L, Balance Sheet, intercompany, etc.)
  • Preparing the company's cash flow forecasts
  • Managing taxes declarations
  • Managing VAT declarations
  • Preparing annual Financial Statements in conjunction with the Chief financial Officer
  • Managing external auditors and their queries
  • Providing ad hoc advice and information on queries, including changes to relevant accounting standards
  • Assisting in regular forecasting and budgeting process
  • Taking a hands-on approach and posting journals where appropriate

Skills required

  • Qualified accountant with at least 3 years' experience
  • Total autonomy on the production of statutory accounts and consolidation packages
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative: decision making is essential
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising consistency in the process
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work with remote management
  • Excellent accounting skills (receivables, suppliers, general accounting, cash, VAT)
  • Good knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Office skills (in particular Excel)
  • Knowledge of the leasing activity
  • Fluent in English & French
