Job Description

Our client is a Lloyd's market Insurance brokers in the City of London who are recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to deal with their Management Accounts.

You will be supporting across all areas of the business

This role will offer hybrid working - probably 2-3 days in the office and the rest of the week at home

The main focus of the role is

• Maintenance of appropriate accounting records which give an accurate picture, at any given time, of the financial position of the Firm and which comply with statutory requirements, accounting standards and industry best practice.
• Processing of monthly journals.
• Balance sheet reconciliation preparation and self-review.
• Analytical reviews and commentary.
• In co-operation with the Company's auditors, assist with the preparation of the annual accounts of the Company in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with the completion of FCA regulatory reporting.
• Support in any activity and/or specific project work required.
• Authorise office and client payments
• Assist in cash flow reporting within the Segment
• Confidential payroll reconciliation

They are looking for candidates who are a FULLY Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or are alternatively fully qualified AAT who ideally have worked within the Insurance industry previously - any specific experience in dealing with the rules applicable to accounting for insurance intermediaries

You will be be very IT Literate and ideally be conversant with the following packages
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Sun and Oracle Financials
