Job Description

Job Title: Financial Director

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00) with some degree of flexibility

Location: North Lincolnshire

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (may be negotiated for the right candidate)

We are looking for a Financial Director to join one of our clients based in North Lincolnshire. This position is for an individual who is eager to take the next step up in their career - perhaps, someone who is 80% on their way to becoming a Financial Director.

The ideal candidate must be ambitious, eager to progress, and have the growth mindset. Also, the successful candidate must be highly driven and motivated, and bring fresh positive energy into the business.

Purpose of the role:

Providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the Company's financial commitments are met. Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the Company's business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full support to the CEO.
  • Oversees all financial planning and analysis including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Develop and control the Company's annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are achieved, and financial and statutory regulations complied with.
  • Handling VAT, PAYE, and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
  • Cost control and efficiency improvement.
  • Communication with Debtors and Creditors.
  • Knows and adheres to the UK generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Train accounting staff.

Key Accountability:

  • Provide the CEO with core information relating to the financial performance of products, entities, and regional financials.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively.
  • Awareness of exactly what money is coming in and out of the business at all times taking the steps to protect the business from any upcoming shortfalls.
  • Develop strategies to increase return on investments and profitability.
  • Present financial reports to Executives, board members, investors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified to ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent /Bachelor degree in Accounting of Finance
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen
  • Proven extensive senior level accountancy experience
  • Significant managerial and leadership experience
  • Experience within a medium sized business
