ABERDEENSHIRE
Role: Executive Business Manager
Salary: Circa £32k based on experience
The role is based on a 9-5.00pm working week, based on site in Aberdeenshire
This family owned business is looking for a motivated and experienced Executive Business Manager to oversee day to day operations and provide intuitive and focused business support across all business functions. The ideal candidate should be a confident individual who is able to continue to develop existing policies and procedures and implement new ones. A key aspect of the role is the ability to successfully manage cash flow for the organisation and the successful applicant should be familiar with Sage and closing down month and period ends, producing accurate management accounts. Advantageous would be a candidate with several years of experience in general business management with a broad knowledge of all commercial business functions including HR. The successful applicant will have a track record of success in overseeing projects from inception to completion and identifying and mitigating risks involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overseeing three direct reports
Providing key support to the two Company Directors and providing confidence through robust financial controls
Cashflow management
Asset Finance management
Processing of quarterly VAT submissions
Processing of monthly PAYE
Payroll Management and processing monitoring
Bank Account reconciliation
Review and analyse quarterly management accounts
HR - Management of recruitment; disciplinary and grievance procedures advising line management of correct processes to adopt. Communicating with employees with regard to such matters and keeping a record on employee files - To be handled by new person
Oversee the management of debtor and supplier Sage ledgers
Undertake the annual insurance renewal and liaise regularly with the broker throughout the year
Management of E-Learning portal for employee e-learning
Management of H&S via the Ellis Whittam portal
Other project management work as and when required
The ideal candidate:
Degree in Business Management/Accounting
Experience in the Mandata system
Preferably from a Logistics background
Experience in Managing a small team and demonstrate leadership qualities
A strong communicator, both written and verbal
