Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Fines Officer
Location: Gildersome, Morley
Salary: £9.59ph
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)


This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Administration Officer to join the Team at the Collection and Enforcement Centre in Gildersome, Morley with our client, The Ministry of Justice. The role will include working as part of a flexible team. This is a very interesting role, carrying out effective and efficient administration duties, applying correct enforcement strategies on a case by cases basis and working closely with various partner agencies.


Responsibilities include:
- Managing your own caseload of orders and ensuring the correct action is applied
- Updating case management systems with the progress of cases
- Preparing paperwork for court hearings and advising/updating Legal Advisors with case details
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective enforcement
- Taking appropriate action to realise identified assets
- Conducting intelligence checks to trace defaulters
- Liaise with the defendants/court users via telephone, email and letters
- Data entry
- Reviewing systems/processes to improve performance
- Contributing to team meetings
