Job Description

Job Role: Floating Support Worker
Location: Leeds
Hours: Flexible
Salary: £15 - £20 per hour

Are you an experienced Support Worker? Are you looking for a new role supporting Children and Young people? If so this could be the perfect role for you.

At BS Social Care we work with a number of clients supporting vulnerable children and young people in the Leeds area. We are working with a local authority to provide them with floating support workers to help with looked after children.

You will be support young children with various activities which could include their interests such as football, gym or arts and crafts. You may also need to support young people on visits to their family or siblings. Often the support is needed due to break down in placements so it is really important that you are understanding of the needs of looked after children and how this could impact them or their behaviour.

This is a really rewarding temporary job and you will normally work with the same young person until they no longer require additional support. Shifts will include 4 hour shifts, 6 hour shifts, long days and waking nights. The hours do vary depending on the support package so will work for candidates that are looking to do additional evening and weekend work as well as full time.

We are looking for experienced Support/Project Workers who have:
A minimum of 6 months recent experience working with Children and young people within the past 2 years.
A valid DBS certificate on the update service

We will need to be able to reference you for the past 5 years with no gaps in employment or this will need to be evidenced.

Please send your CV that clearly demonstrates your experience working with young people.
