Job Description

Working within the energy industry our client is a not for profit organisation working alongside the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. They are responsible for the delivery of Electricity Market Reform.
As a government run company they are governed by strict Framework and compliance guidelines.

This is a newly created role to join their Data & Analytics Team to provide forecasts of future costs and risks in order to set levy rates as required by Regulation. These levy rates are then used to fund payments to the generators of the contracts.

The guiding principle is always to maintain investor confidence and minimise costs to consumers.

We are looking for candidates with a strong numeric based degree (2.1 Minimum) who has experience of complex data analytical models- including good quantitative analysis skills .
We would prefer an energy background however we are open to other areas where exposure to complex models exist.

We would also consider a post graduate candidate whose dissertation was energy/electricity biased.

In addition you must possess strong communication skills to deal with stakeholders across the board.

Salary £35-38000

They would consider more experienced candidates who have experience in modelling, forecasting or analysis in the electricity industry with some knowledge in at least one of the following areas: energy markets, the electricity settlement process, renewable energy technology or electricity demand forecasting!
If you have this experience then they would pay a maximum of £50,000
