Forklift Driver - Alness, UK

We have an immediate requirement for our valued client in Alness for an experienced Forklift Driver. Experience of working in a factory environment is preferred. This is initially a temporary contract but has the potential to go long term or permanent, for the right candidate. Hourly rate is £13.50/hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Ensure accurate stacking and storage of products, maintaining organisation and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management by recording movements and updating stock records as required.
• Conduct routine safety checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Support the team with general warehouse duties as needed, including wrapping, labelling, and preparing goods for dispatch.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (or equivalent certification) - essential.
• Previous experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to forklift operation.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual tasks and operate machinery for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork.
