Brook Street is working with our Belfast client to recruit a new Trainee Freight Forwarder

Our client is a logistics provider who provide Air and Sea Freight forwarding solutions

You will begin the role by performing general admin, filing,
Other duties will involve preparing Import and Export Document`s, Invoicing and their internal systems,

This will link into their services and you will begin learning about logistics and the company as a whole. Once you have a basic knowledge of how they work and what logistics is you will then progress to sourcing quotes from supplies and then quoting customers directly.

Once you have a full understanding on quoting you will then start to arrange the jobs - Arranging with the Airlines - Shipping lines and agents.

Full training will be given. The client need`s someone that is enthusiastic and wants to learn.

Criteria
*N Preferably educated to A Level std.
* Enthusiastic and good common sense
* Must be motivated to work in a customer service environment
* Keen to train in air or sea freight forwarding. Ongoing practical, on the job and theoretical training in all aspects of freight forwarding.
* General Freight / Logistics experience preferred but not essential

Salary will start on £18,000 per annum

Office Hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with one hour for lunch
