Executive Officer (EO) - Central Government
Type: Long-term temporary Salary: £13.26 / hour

We're seeking skilled administrators with team management experience that would like to extend their skills to benefit the UK Government. As a chosen recruitment partner to central government and the public sector, Brook Street is seeking temporary admin and clerical workers in this area, giving you the opportunity to gain credible experience in the public sector.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local government department for an Document Reviewer in Central London. This is an ongoing, long-term temporary assignment, working and many of these opportunities offer a significant pay increase on completion of 12 weeks in the same department.

Providing junior management support and moderately complex admin tasks, your duties will include:

" Reading into the case and attending team meetings. This includes being able to read, understand and assimilate complex and technical information and provide meaningful feedback to the team on the content.
" Reviewing and describing digital material using the digital review system (Autonomy) and Excel software.
" To demonstrate attention to detail. For example, be able to cross reference disparate documents on a document review system into a complete set and accurately describe large volumes of information in respect of an email review.
" To have a practical understanding of the use of Excel and be able to deploy this in managing large quantities of data.
" In the unlikely event of potentially Legal Professional Privilege material being discovered as part of their review, to be able to recognise such material and refer it as instructed.
" Other specific tasks of a similar nature as required by the case team.
Essential
" A law degree obtained in England and Wales or a degree and law conversion course.
" A professional qualification such as LPC or BPTC (or equivalent).
" Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
" Ability to understand complex and technical information.
" You need to be fluent in French
Desirable
" Criminal law experience
" Experience of large document review exercises and working with digital document review platforms.
