Front-end developer

Brook Street Coventry has an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced front-end developer to join a world renowned retail company on short term temporary contract.

Based within East Coventry, this role will be working in my client`s state of the art office supporting their content support team during an exceptionally busy period. The location has excellent public transport links and close to the M6 motorway, they offer free onsite parking, a modern open planed office environment and a superb on site cafe.

The role will be working closely with my clients online design team to assist with the coding of new material.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
" Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and code to W3C standards.
" Experience with at least one server-side languages like PHP.
" Knowledge of fundamental SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
" Excellent knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and their resolution.
" Good knowledge of responsive frameworks like Bootstrap
" Familiarity working in both Windows and Mac environments.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
" Experience of version control like Git.
" Experience in JavaScript.
" Experience with CSS pre-processors like LESS/SASS.
" Experience with at least one server-side languages like PHP.

SOFT SKILLS:
" You must be an enthusiastic self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude.
" Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
" Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
" Ambitious.


Working hours are 09.00-17.00 Monday - Friday and paying a fantastic hourly rate of £15.40p/h.
