Job Description

A well established organization is recruiting for Day and/or Waking Night Support Workers for their care homes and supportive living services in Cornwall. You will be supporting Adults or Children (8 - 18 year olds) who have Aspergers or Autism and some may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- You will work in 1 location. Area`s are: Blackwater, Camborne, Hayle, Helston, Newquay, Redruth, St Austell and Truro
- Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet)
- Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to
- Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc
- Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve
- Full or prompting personal care required but no manual handling / hoisting

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- St Austell candidates must be a car driver due to location

Contract / Terms (pro rota):
- Days is £15,879.24 per annum = £7.83 an hour on weekdays & £10.34 on weekends
- Nights is £18,720 per annum = £9 an hour on weekdays & £10.56 on weekends
- Some locations will require 1 sleep in per week which is paid at £75 per sleep
- Contracts available: 20, 30, 39 or 40 hours a week
- Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Day shifts can vary between 8am - 10pm
- Waking nights can vary between 10pm - 8am
- 3 month rolling rota
