Job Description

A well established Education and Residential Children Services are recruiting for Support Workers for their 8 bed residential care home near Clifton Down, Bristol. The home has an 'outstanding' CQC report for Adults (21 years old and over) who have severe communication difficulties, epilepsy, profound, multiple & complex needs and mild challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Supporting adults to live an independent life as possible
- Assist them with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Encourage them with life skills and activities (silent disco, belly dance, local pub visits)
- Accompany them out & about in the community
- Personal care will be required which includes hoisting

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £17,290 - £19,167 per annum = £8.75 - £9.70 per hour
- Shifts will be a mixture of 7:30am - 3:30pm and 3:15pm - 8:45pm (Monday to Friday) and 2 weekends a month 8am - 8pm
- Averages to 38 hours a week
- 2 week rolling rota
