Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is based in Armagh - they are currently recruiting a Full Time Garage Foreman/ HGV Mechanic.

The Foreman will be responsible for the efficient running of the garage and will support Junior Mechanics spending time within service bays, training, motivating, and assisting.

As a working Foreman you will need to demonstrate that you are a highly skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be working in a well-established business that has had over 40 years success and will also benefit from a generous starting package.

Typical Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for the day to day running of the Garage.
* Managing the junior mechanics and allocating and distributing work throughout the team
* Co-ordination and supervision of all the Garage staff, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Responsible for liaising with management on a daily basis
* Proven experience working as a Senior Mechanic/ Fitter Role with relevant mechanical qualification or time served
* Assessing the workshop productivity and ensuring tasks are being safely and efficiently and that health & safety measures are adhered to

* Must be capable of leading a team and have Supervisory/ Management experience
* Must be organised and able to prioritise workloads
* Good verbal communication skills and be organised with paperwork
* Mustb have flexible attitude and able to work under pressure
* Proven mechanical experience on commercial Vehicles and or Trailers- have HGV Mechanical

Qualifications
* Strong Knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and diagnostic fault finding

Salary will be determined at interview based on experience - Circa 40k per annum
