Brook Street Coventry is recruiting for a General ledger analyst on a long term temporary contract to start Early January.
The role will be working for Europe's leading automotive manufacturer based in their state of the art UK head office located just outside of Coventry City Centre, this site offers excellent public transport links and free onsite parking.
The main responsibilities for this role are;
" Accurate, timely and consistent financial accounting for bonuses, commissions, payroll, and fixed assets, within the month they relate to, and within Group reporting deadlines for the financial results and financial forecasting.
" Responsibility for the maintenance of the central finance team procedures, ensuring the company procedures is adhered to.
" Preparing and have a sound understanding of the quarterly VAT returns so that they are forwarded to the VAT team in a timely and accurate manner.
" Collecting information and submit Central National statistics reports to the ONS (office of national Statistics) when required.
" Participating in reviewing internal audits that have taken place and responding to questions asked by relevant personnel.
" Reconciliation of allocated balance sheet accounts.
" Collating information requested by external auditors.
Candidates must have an extensive accounts and finance background, ideally from within the automotive sector but this is not essential. You must have a strong work ethic and able to work as part of a larger team and able to communication with various stake holders of all levels.
Working hours are 08.30 - 16.45 Monday to Thursday, 08.30 - 15.30 on a Friday.
The starting hourly rate is between £11.00 - £11.50 increasing to £11.89 after 12 weeks.
