Job Description

We are currently looking for a positive, energetic General Stores Operative to join our market leading team based in the heart of Croydon. We also offer 22 days holiday per annum plus 8 public/bank holidays, with an increment of 1 day for every year worked.

This is not your run of the mill picking and packing role! You will also be responsible for:
*Processing orders and monitoring parts not in stock
*Receiving all goods and obtaining proof of deliveries as and when requested
*Loading and unloading of machines/equipment with the use of lifting equipment and a forklift.
*Mixing of ingredients to produce vehicle wash chemicals in line with the prescriptive formula
*Decant chemicals, label containers as required
*You will also be required to deal with any incoming calls or enquiries to the store, liaise with engineers and the customer service department.
As the ideal candidate you will have good communication skills, be comfortable taking the initiative and acting on it whilst also being a solid member of the team. It is essential that you have a valid forklift operating license, have no medical issues that would prevent you working around chemicals (with the use of protective equipment). We would also need you to be physically fit as you will be required to move up and down ladders and be comfortable lifting heavy goods.

The hours of work are 8-5pm Monday to Friday with one Sunday being required in every three, 12-2.30pm and paid at double pay.
We also offer 22 days per annum holiday plus 8 bank/public holidays. With an increment of 1 day for every calendar year worked.
