General Stores Person

Full time - 37.5 hours

Rolling Temp 12 weeks

9 day fortnight
M-T 7.30am - 4.30pm / F 7.30 - 3pm Then M-T 7.30am - 4.30pm/ Friday off

£10.25ph

My client is a global company in the business of supplying parts for oil and gas turbines and they require an experienced stores person on a rolling temporary basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible to the Senior Store person for the day-to-day safe, efficient, and effective running of the Store.

The duties involved include but are not limited to:

• Carry out general Stores duties, ensuring traceability of all items and processing paperwork to the relevant departments

• Check materials against their relevant documentation

• Carry out packing, and prepare for dispatch

• Load and unload goods and external deliveries

• Monitor stock movements; verify and advise stock levels

• Be involved in team working to ensure good working practices and shared learning

• Carry out works cleaning as necessary to ensure a high level of house-keeping

• Carry out other duties as specified by supervisor to support business requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible approach, team player and ability to work independently
• Able to carry out physical activities related to stores and handling
• Experience with a FLT is beneficial
• Strong organisational Skills
• Driving licence is an advantage due to location
• Able to carry out relevant instructions as directed by senior workshop and stores staff
