Starting at £9.51 rising to £14.37 after 12 working weeks.

Working pattern: Full time
Hours: 37 per week
Evenings and weekends 4pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 9am to 5pm. (Please note that there is no flexibility with the hours)

Position:
You will be working for our prestigious Government client and will be responsible for making hundreds of decisions every year regarding visas, with a firm emphasis on national security and a culture of customer satisfaction for people who come to the UK legally.
The Croydon Decision Making Centre is one of the largest decision making centres in the world. We are responsible for running the UK`s visa service and manage around 3 million applications a year from overseas nationals who wish to come to the UK to visit, study or work both on a temporary or permanent basis.

Job description
EO`s are expected to analyse information to make decisions which can sometimes be complex to ensure that a modern, efficient and courteous service is delivered within agreed standards.
It is essential that Entry Clearance Officers are able to work under pressure and to very tight deadlines and targets, while still producing high quality work. Staff will also need to be able to communicate, both in writing and orally, in a clear and concise manner and must be able to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.


Location
Successful candidates will primarily be based in Croydon but may also be required to travel between our offices in our central London offices or Sheffield on occasion.


Security
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is SC Security Check.

**Please note: for this role candidates will be expected to attend a 2 week ECO course. This course will be delivered in Croydon. Ability will be assessed throughout with an examination at the end of the 2 weeks.
