Job Description

My client is currently seeking a Governance Manager for their team, located in either Manchester/London. This is a full time role at 37.5 hours per week at a rate of £16.97 per hour

Whilst this is a remote working role for the moment, once Government restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to the local office when required.

The post holder will be required to:

" Autonomously plan, manage and coordinate the work of senior level meetings, including developing agendas, distributing meeting papers and taking minutes of complex and sensitive discussions
" Develop and update corporate governance policies and procedures, using expert knowledge of best practice
" Ensure new processes and working arrangements at NICE take due account of corporate governance good practice
" Liaise with the internal auditor and senior colleagues across NICE to oversee the progress of internal audit recommendations, and manage the process of updating the master list for reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee

The post holder should be able to demonstrate:

" Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of corporate governance best practice
" Ability to work effectively and simultaneously across a wide range of legal, governance, risk and policy areas
" Effective and persuasive communicator demonstrating strong oral, written and presentation skills
" Ability to think and plan strategically and to exercise sound judgement in the face of conflicting pressures

To be considered for this role, we are looking for:

" Educated to degree level or relevant experience
" Recognised corporate governance or related qualification or relevant experience of operating in a corporate governance role
