Brook Street has been chosen as a recruitment partner to central government and the public sector to hire temporary admin and clerical workers for departments across the UK.

The need for high-quality graphic design is increasing - from publications, to digital content and web design, promoting our new strategic plan and public information campaigns. This is a growth area in our communication work and good design underpins our efforts to engage with the public and stakeholders.
For this temporary post, we need a talented designer. They will be deliver a high-quality and efficient design service focusing primarily on our corporate publications. The post holder will work closely with our permanent graphic designer to ensure all design work conforms to our brand identity guidelines and meets the highest professional standards.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
" Design and layout a range of corporate documents and publications in line with the IOPC`s brand identity guidelines - making use of feedback to improve their appeal.
" Support the permanent in-house graphic designer to improve design across printed and digital platforms and advise colleagues on best practice in design work.
" Provide consistently high quality, creative and professional design solutions in support of internal and external communication strategies, that meet both clients` needs and corporate requirements.
" Support the work of the wider communications team as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Considerable experience in a design/creative artwork role, working on a variety of publications and design projects.
" Ability to advise clients about the best way to address their design needs and ensure that corporate standards are adhered to at all times.
" Experience of using a range of design packages, including Indesign.
" Ability to liaise with external suppliers, such as printers.
" An understanding of working in a regulated setting and an ability to work creatively, without undermining corporate credibility.
" Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal confidently with people at all levels using persuasive skills when necessary.
" A flexible, proactive and creative approach.
