Job - Group Accounts Manager
Salary - £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location - Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Job Type - Permanent, Full Time

This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company in Abingdon where you can manage and develop within Finance. you will be responsible for managing the day to day aspects of the sales and purchase ledger functions. Overseeing a team of Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistants, the Accounts Manager will promote a first-class attitude to customer service. The role will involve making decisions to resolve sales ledger queries and working with other departments to allow orders to be released for processing. Working alongside the Financial Accountant, the ideal candidate will be comfortable with the principles behind preparing accounts up to trial balance, ensuring the company is able to report group results within agreed timescales.

What will you be doing as a Group Accounts Manager?

Supervising and supporting a team of SL and PL Assistants, across multiple locations
Ensuring all transactions are accurately entered into the accounting systems in line with month end deadlines
Adhering to relevant departmental KPIs including keeping DSO down to an acceptable level
Inter-company account reconciliations
Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
Overseeing daily cash and banking
Assist with relevant audits, including end of year and Sarbanes Oxley
Deal with accounts on various currencies including, Switzerland, France, Spain and Czech.
Reconciling cashbook with bank statements across ten legal entities
Follow the Company's KPI's and ensure ratios are maintained
Apply the Company's commercial and operational policy in relevant territories
Work within guidelines of Company Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Adhere to company operational procedures
Work with internal departments to maximise communication and improve efficiency

You should apply for this role if you have….

Leadership skills
A relevant accounting qualification; CIMA or ACCA
Ability to build strong relationships cross functionally demonstrable experience in staff management
Possess excellent IT skills, including experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Knowledge of Sage Line 500 would be beneficial
Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
Enjoy working on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results, learn and share knowledge
Feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
