Job Description

Job title: Head of Community Development
Location: Oxfordshire
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £36 - 40k per annum
Start date: Oct 2021

I am recruiting for a Head of Community Development to join the UK's largest charity for older people. The region that you'll be covering will be Oxfordshire.

The key thing you'll need to live and breathe is a passion for providing the best possible services for older people.

You'll be bringing your passion to bear on managing and developing a local offer for the elderly, this will be responsive and meet the aspirations of older people in Oxfordshire, it will be person centred and accessible to all and maintains the charities brand of high-quality service delivery.

The Job

You'll be working closely with internal stake holders (locality teams, the CEO and senior leadership team) to deliver results that support of the strategic plan of the Charity and you'll ensure the priorities are aligned with the organisation's vision and values.

Shaping the development of high quality and responsive services.
Overseeing the effective delivery of services that meet older people's needs
Ensuring that the local offer reflects the needs and priorities of partners and meets the charities contractual obligations.
Ensuring a wide range of good quality information is locally accessible to people with care and support needs across the county.
Overseeing the mapping of local activities and opportunities, ensuring that this is shared with partner organisations to ensure that older people know what opportunities are open to them and how to access them.

What are we looking for?

You'll need to have a proven experience and passion working with older people.
Experience in management and running multiple projects.
Experience monitoring, evaluating and reporting on service delivery and outcomes.
Experience of working in partnership with external organisations (Councils, Charities, Health Care Trusts etc.)
To be inspirational and innovative
Driving licence and access to a car is essential
