Job Description

We're working with an educational organisation in Bradford, looking for an Interim Head of Disability to join the team until the end of August.

Within the role you will be responsible for the development, leadership and management of services providing support to the wider student body.

Duties will include:

Leading, managing and developing Disability Services and Counselling Services, meeting current needs and planning for the future for both staff and students
Identifying and delivering strategies to support diversity and inclusivity
Ensuring quality advice and guidance is provided to all staff
Ensuring that Disability Services provides advice, support and guidance to support staff in barriers to student success are removed and that curriculum design, delivery and assessment methods are inclusive
Leading the provision of Counselling Services to staff and students, ensuring that the needs of users are fully met
Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements relating to disability and ensure legal commitments are met and best practice for an inclusive environment is achieved
Developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of disability funding issues and their application, ensuring appropriate response to changes in the area

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing Disability, Counselling and Mental Health guidance and advice to educational bodies.
Membership of a professional body BACP or UKCP (or equivalent) is essential.
Experience within Risk, Budget and line management is also essential.

The role is contracted until August 2019 and could be extended.
The client offers a salary of £51,500 (£27.39 per hour)
