Job Description

Our client is a high profile and rapidly evolving Pension provider who following a recent re-structure of their accountancy functions are now recruiting for a fully ACA qualified (though other accounting qualifications will be considered provided you are fully qualified with at least 5 years post -qual experience) Fund Accountant to head up the Scheme Finance team

The team is made up of a manager and an assistant and this role will have overall responsibility for training and managing the team as well as setting up all the processes and procedures/functions to run the Scheme Accounting effectively

This will include working closely with the external Fund Custodians and Administrators - so the ability to build strong relationships is key for this role

You will need to be confident with:Fund Accountancy, Equities and Bonds as they are always looking for new areas to invest in.

Our client is looking for applicants with previous relevant experience in Fund Accountancy with another Pension Scheme, Fund Administrator, Custodian or one of the Big 4 where you have specifically dealt with auditing Fund Administrators,Pension Schemes or Custodians

You will need to be confident in dealing with SORP Compliant Accounts and have a Technical Fund Accounting background
