Job Description

I am looking for an experienced Band 8C Head of Performance and Improvement to work for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust a three month temporary contract to start immediately.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (37.5hours) and the pay rate is £33.71 per hour and the role will be based at the University Hospital in Lewisham.


You will be working as part of the Performance & BI Directorate, working in the Workforce Information Team. You will take lead on all areas of the production and development of KPI's and workforce information across the trust, and will be using workforce data to support improvement and decision making in a critical health care setting, to make a difference for staff and care.
As a Head of Performance and Improvement, you will oversee all aspects of operational performance for the Trust and will manage the day to day responsibilities of the performance team.

Required skills and experience:

• Senior operational management experience, programme management experience and performance management experience
• Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Office and SQL
• Fully competent with NHS reporting requirements and standards
• Able to deal with a complex workload, manage multiple tasks and prioritise according to importance and deadline
• Keep up to date with NHS developments and meet appropriate continuing professional development requirements

An enhanced DBS will be processed for successful candidates, and we require five years references and Right to Work documents.
