Job Description

My client is a leading managed service provider of complex IT solutions who are a fast-growing with a 53% growth rate, on average, for the last 3 years.they "enable great work from anywhere" and have built a decade's worth of experience that will be valuable to organisations of all sizes as part of their COVID-19 recovery.


Current customers and partners span across the UK and Ireland. They are a cloud managed service provider delivering from both a private managed cloud environment and Microsoft Azure, with a subscription-based business model that enables their customers to consume complex IT services.

We are seeking a Head of Sales, which is a newly created role, to join this developing MSP business.

We are seeking a successful and experienced Head of Sales from a Cloud Managed Service background - ideally focused around Microsoft stack - Azure, MS365, Public Cloud etc.,

You will be required to support the development of a fast-growing business and setting the strategic direction. The role will cover all areas of the management of Sales Operation including Inside Sales (telesales lead generation), Vendor relationships, Consulting, Enterprise sales, Channel and Sales ops. This role will span managing both a net new business sales function and account management sales function. The goal is to grow the business from £2.5m to £10m+ turnover within 5 years. Future board role and equity participation to be considered for the right candidate.

The role will report into the CEO and be part of the leadership team that drives the business forward.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
" Setting sales strategy with an evidence-based approach to ensure logical and consider investments and roadmap to success.
" Drive ideas and energy to motivate the team to try new things and maintain a positive and proactive way of working.
" Achievement of the forecast agreed and set with the board.
" Establishing sales forecasts based on business opportunities and monitoring forecasts, goals and delivery through CRM software
" Managing Sales performance and ensure sales team deliver financial objectives
" Providing and analysing trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
" Lead Enterprise sales pitches and closes working with Solution Architects and Account Director.
" Creating and presenting regular performance data
" Oversee SME managed service sales providing services to business from 10-400 staff as a fully outsourced managed service provider.
" Understanding the full product, services and solutions, making sure all members of the team have appropriate knowledge, training and accreditation's.
" Commercialisation of new products, services and solutions working closely with product marketing to successfully launch new products and solutions.
" Managing and owning strategic relationship with Key vendors
" Motivating the sales team to achieve the best results possible.
" Setting activity and revenue targets for members of the sales team.
" Attending key meetings with members of the sales team.
" Overseeing account management plans with the Account Director.
" Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
" Spotting market opportunities for new customers.
" Attending monthly meetings with other senior members of the business.
" All aspects of recruitment and selection for the sales department.
" Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
" Acting as a spokesperson for the organisation at sales events and conferences.
"Networking with directors in order to generate new business for the company.
"Monthly reporting sales performance

We expect the successful candidate will be office based approx 2 days a week with the remainder home or client site.

Hours of work 9:00-5:30 (flexible), outside of this maybe be needed to achieve your goals. National travel maybe be required.
