Health & Safety Officer
Paying up to £33,000 - a higher salary could be negotiated for the right experience
Based in Oxfordshire with travel across the region (no overnight stays)
Travel to the Head Office location based in Warwick approx. once a month
Full time, Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm

Working as the Health & Safety Officer you will be responsible for supporting dual locations across the Oxfordshire area ensuring that all H&S, compliance and audits are completed accordingly.

About the position:
Take ownership on detailed H&S site audits and risk assessments, ensuring any feedback or guidance is appropriately provided
Identify areas of non-compliance and those in need of improvement
Conduct investigations of all accidents reporting where necessary, ensuring risks are minimised and monitored legislative requirements are being managed accordingly
Provide guidance and advise to Location Managers ensuring that
Be responsible for providing first line coaching/ support to location managers and colleagues across business areas
Work in collaboration with the H&S Compliance Manager to promote and develop H&S across the business

About you:
Have a NEBOSH qualification - General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Experience working in a H&S position managing compliance and audits
Knowledge working across a multi -site H&S position
Able to multitask
Be personable
Be able to identify areas for improvement and change
Have excellent communications skills
Be able to multi task and manage several deadlines at once

Desirable:
Have NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
Food hygiene knowledge
Experience from a retail/food H&S background
