Health and Safety Officer - Liverpool

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00 to £28,000.00 /year

Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit for a Health & Safety Manager, that has experience in monthly audits, inspections and ensure health and safety visits are conducted on all sites.

Purpose of Role
To assist the business with carrying out audits, inspections and support visits of all operational sites. Assisting site management in the delivery of toolbox talks and reporting of near miss incidents and general support for the Manager.

Main Responsibilities
" Ownership of, and delivery against, company targets in business plan;
" levels of involvement and decision-making;
" Set-up and maintenance of Company Manual;
" Demonstrate company ethos
" Support to other business Departments.

Key skills and experience:
" Strong Microsoft Office Knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Word)
" Mail merge skills
" Solid organisation and time-management skills
" Attention to detail and good reporting, planning, and administration skills
" Ambitious and self-motivated
" Must be able to work on their own as well as part of a team
" Proven experience as H&S officer
" In depth knowledge of and procedures
" Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
" Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
" Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
" Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
" BSc/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred
" Certificate in occupational health and safety
