Brook Street (UK) Limited is working on behalf of our client in Dungannon to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their growing teams.

In this role, the successful candidate will support the Company in implementing Health & Safety Policies & Procedures and in meeting all legal obligations whilst ensuring the Health, Safety and well-being of our workforce.

Responsibilities
* Provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees
* Policy setting and implementation
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety Legislation
* Conduct H&S inspections and investigations
* Reporting
* Conduct Risk Assessments and follow up action planning
* Auditing - internal and assistance during external
* Adhere to all health and safety practices
* Any other duties and reasonable tasks within your capability as set out by management.

What we need from you

* Degree in relevant discipline preferred
* NEBOSH general certificate essential
* 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role (or able to demonstrate adequate knowledge and ability to fulfil the role)
* Experience in the food industry will be advantageous
* Driving license and access to a vehicle or ability to fulfil any driving requirements of the role
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Sufficient level of written and spoken English to maintain levels of safety)
* Ability to work with minimum supervision and coherently with other team members
* Flexibility with working times to ensure consistency of policy implementation and servicing of audits/investigations etc
