Helpline Adviser - Fully Remote
Salary: £29,000-£30,000 per annum
Temporary | Full-time | 24/7 rota (including weekends and nights)

Do you have a passion for helping others and making a real difference in people's lives? We're looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join our team of Helpline Advisers, supporting those affected by gambling harms across the UK.

What You'll Do

As a Helpline Adviser, you'll be the first point of contact for people reaching out for help - offering emotional support, guidance, and information through multiple channels such as phone, live chat, WhatsApp, and online forums. You'll provide a calm, empathetic presence for individuals in crisis, help them explore next steps, and connect them with specialist services for ongoing support.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and who finds purpose in meaningful, person-centred work.

Your Day-to-Day

• Deliver immediate, non-judgmental support through digital and telephone services.

• Identify risks and safeguarding concerns, escalating appropriately.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case records.

• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Participate in reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a support, counselling, helpline, or health & social care role.

• Confidence in handling sensitive and emotional conversations with empathy.

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.

• Excellent communication and digital skills (CRM or similar systems experience a plus).

• Commitment to confidentiality, GDPR, and professional standards.

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and on a 24/7 rota basis.
