Brook Street are proud to advertise a Higher Executive Officer role at the MOD in Andover. This role is for 9 months and is working 37 hours from Monday to Friday. The pay rate for this position is £16.48 per hour.
Job Description
The Temporary Worker will provide middle management support and operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgement in completing assignments. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to: Preparing high-level correspondence and checking that produced by others Interpreting and reporting complex data Resolving problems or responding to complex enquiries Managing the workload of a team or section Liaising with internal and external stakeholders at senior level building and maintaining relationships Typical qualifications and experience: Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above Two level passes at grade E or above or equivalent NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable management experience) Good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office Management experience in an office environment Excellent communication skills both oral and written
The Field Army IX Programme is expanding its small Programme Team as it transitions a range of new ways of working and services into live operation across the Army. This requirement is for a capable self-starter who is able, once briefed, to work independently to a high standard on a wide variety of new and ongoing tasks. Working to the Programme Manager, the post holder will:
Co-ordination and Liaison Activities: Maintain a cycle of co-ordination meetings, updates, reports and returns from the programme team and others. Arrange meetings and briefings, occasionally attending to record notes and actions including some related transport requests. Liaising with programme and other teams as required.
Document Management: Maintenance and control of programme documents, reports and returns. Assisting with the completion and issue of regular and ad hoc updates and returns from the programme to other groups. Publishing notifications and news items on the Programme webpage, maintaining links, expiry and related documents as required.
Ad hoc tasks: Undertake programme related tasks as directed by the Programme Manager.
Skills and experience:
Essential
SV or DV
Fully competent in use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote etc.).
Desirable
Experience of working in a programme/ project management environment.
Experience of working in an Army/ MOD environment
OCCASIONAL UK (BUT MAINLY SOUTH EAST) LOCAL) TRAVEL MAY BE REQUIRED
