Job Description

Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for a Higher Executive Officer level candidate as an Insolvent Vetting Examiner to work within their Compliance and Targeting Department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This is currently a 12 month temporary assignment, paying £13.58 per hour going up to £17.35 in the 13th working week. This is currently hybrid working with the expectation that initially you may need to be on site more, for training purposes.

The department deals with Director conduct reports that have been submitted where a company enters Insolvency proceedings. Your role as an Insolvent Vetting Examiner is to assess these reports to decide whether marked misconduct has occurred, and whether it requires further investigation and bringing potential disqualification proceedings.

Your role will be to manage regular allocations of cases to reach appropriate decisions within business timescales, prioritising where necessary. Initial reports must be assessed to identify potential areas of misconduct and whether further information is required in the decision making process. You will need to use information sources effectively and use analytic skills to assess information and make clear and appropriate enquiries. You must also work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to reach your conclusions.

This role will require a DBS check and three years referencing.
