Job Description

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency - Higher Executive Officer
Location: Remote working but may be asked to go into the York office when needed
Salary: £14.05
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours) Between 7am - 7pm

Role Purpose

The Inspectorate Service Executive (ISE) is expected to support the Inspectorate Operation Managers in the co-ordination and planning of inspections. You will be working in a team with two other ISE?s who supports a group of approximately 30 GLP/GCP/GPvP Inspectors in relation to planning inspections and a group of approximately 28 GMP Inspectors in relation to planning inspections and monthly metrics. The ISE?s ensure there is enough coverage of inspection planning activities across all areas of GXP and requires close liaison with the Finance Division. The ISE is also involved in development and maintenance of Inspectorate management systems and provides support to other groups within the Division as required. ISE?s are also expected to contribute to and participate in internal Team/Group/Division meetings and activities.

Key Responsibilities

? Support inspection activities in an efficient and effective manner

? Support office-based assessments as required and in accordance with the documented quality system, ensuring any issues arising are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner

? Provide advice to stakeholders in relation to inspection planning activities

? Work with GxP Operation Managers to successfully develop, maintain and deliver the annual inspection programme

? Work with GxP Operations Managers and Senior Inspectors to deliver Inspectorate projects

? Support the GxP teams as required

? Excellent oral & written communication skills allied with a commitment to providing prompt customer service.

? Demonstrates effective organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, including managing conflicting deadlines and priorities.

? Demonstrable experience of a flexible and adaptable attitude towards work, providing a proactive service and the ability to use initiative, foresight, and have a willingness to go the ?extra mile?.

? Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

? Demonstrable experience in drafting high quality and accurate (technical) written correspondence and a high degree of computer literacy with proven experience using Microsoft Packages.

? Ability to deal confidently and diplomatically with colleagues at all levels, external contacts and the public.

? Excellent attention to detail

? An appreciation of the regulation of medicines use in the UK.
