About the Strategy and Planning Team

Strategy and Planning are a small but impactful team working at the heart of Companies House, within the Strategy, Policy and External Communications Directorate. We help shape, produce, and communicate our corporate strategy across the business. We also work across the business to produce underpinning strategic roadmaps, the annual business plan, and public targets. We facilitate strategic planning and prioritisation activities with Executive board, Main Board, and senior management with oversight of strategic priorities. We are also responsible for tracking progress against our strategy through regular monitoring and reporting. We work collaboratively with colleagues at every level across Companies House, providing support with translating strategy into delivery, prioritisation, and planning.

Our team is organised around a cycle of developing and delivering our corporate strategy, building annual plans and monitoring, and reporting its progress. We broadly work under three areas of focus - strategy, strategic planning and monitoring and reporting. Each of these areas has a lead (Principal Strategy and Planning Manager) supported by Senior Strategy and Planning Managers.
