Our Client needs a Higher Executive Officer (Recruitment and Onboarding Support Officer - 5G Testbeds and Trials programme), the pay rate is £15.98 an hour, temporary assignment for approximately 3 months, with the possibility to extend; Monday - Friday; remotely.

This post is part of the exciting 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme, using cutting edge mobile communications technology to improve people's lives and encourage growth in the UK. This currently has over 30 projects in progress, including Green Planet with David Attenborough, projects looking to support augmented reality streaming to vast audiences in stadiums and from music festivals, supporting improved Health and Social Care outcomes in Liverpool and Birmingham, supporting farming, tourism, and safety at sea and from flooding in rural areas and productivity improvements in car and aerospace factories. However, no previous experience of working in high technology or telecommunications is required.
The job title is Recruitment and Onboarding Support Officer and covers both recruiting and supporting the onboarding of staff to manage the Programme's exciting projects. This role is available as part of the 5G Testbeds and trials (5GTT) Programme's Business Operations team.
There are two critical parts of this role. The first is supporting vacancy holders in 5GTT to recruit staff by helping them to get through the processes required, for example through Civil Service Jobs recruitment campaigns or through our temporary staff recruitment agency Public Sector Resourcing.
The other side of the role is to help those people recruited to be properly onboarded into 5GTT as quickly as possible. This requires helping them and the vacancy holder through the different processes each recruitment route requires and ensuring they have the equipment and information they need.

Role responsibilities:
Supporting vacancy holders to recruitment the staff they need
Support vacancy holders and new staff to be onboarded smoothly and quickly
Update staff and vacancy tracking information

Experience with the following is essential:

Organising files and documents
Simple operations within Excel or Google sheets
Use of email and simple forms

Experience these areas is desirable, but not essential:
Experience of recruitment and onboarding
Experience of working in a Central Government environment

There is scope for majority remote working or being based in London or one of our national hubs. Plus, potential for travel to visit our projects.
