Operational Support Officer
Location: Bournemouth (Courts of Justice, Deansleigh Road, BH7 7DS)
Pay Rate: £12.86 - £13.25 per hour
Contract: 6 months (with potential extension)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30/9:00am - 5:00pm
Brook Street is currently recruiting on behalf of the Ministry of Justice for an Operational Support Officer to join a busy team within the criminal courts.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys administrative work, and wants to contribute to the smooth running of the justice system.
The Role
As an Operational Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting case progression within the criminal justice system. You'll be involved in a variety of administrative duties that help ensure cases move through the courts efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing incoming emails, queries, and correspondence
- Handling telephone enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Inputting and maintaining accurate data on internal systems
- Supporting case progression through administrative tasks
- Providing general office support to the wider team
About You
We're looking for candidates who are organised, resilient, and able to handle a busy workload with professionalism.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong IT skills and confidence using multiple systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- Good attention to detail and accuracy

- Basic DBS clearance required
