Job Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting them in accessing accommodation, healthcare, and other essential services.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop personalised support plans tailored to each client's circumstances.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to help clients build confidence and independence.
- Assist clients in developing life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including healthcare providers, housing services, and social services, to coordinate support efforts.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records in accordance with organisational policies and data protection regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a social care, housing, or support environment, preferably with vulnerable populations.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to support clients through challenging circumstances.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.
