Job Description

Do you have experience working with vulnerable adults; we are working with various clients in West & South Yorkshire within a hostel environments assisting those who have history of alcohol / substance misuse / domestic violence and homelessness.

As a hostel worker, you would be dealing with adults who have complex needs, ranging from substance misuse to mental heath, providing them with support and positive engagement to help them move on from the service.


Working with a multi-disciplinary team of skilled professionals, you would work with residents to develop comprehensive care plans that tackle their behaviours, circumstances and enable them to gain important life skills that will integrate them into living independently.

Our casual staff at the service must be able to commit to at least one shift per week, which could be a day time shift or a waking night in which you monitor the premises and deal with cleaning and upkeep tasks. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your schedule but ask that you are committed to developing your relationship with the service and the people within it to reduce the staff flow in the hostel from becoming disruptive.


A general pay rate guidance for experienced staff is £9.00 per hour.

Due to the nature of some of locations you will need to hold a full driving licence & have your own vehicle

The ideal candidate will have experience within this sector and have an understanding of mental health.

You are required to have 2 years experience in support work and be able to reference the last 3 years of your employment history.

Full & part time hours available. Hourly rate ranges from £8.50 - £9.50 per hour
