Job Description

We are looking for an experienced support worker to work within a female only hostel in Northamptonshire. The service provides accommodation for females who need support with a variety of issues, including mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic abuse.

Hours are 1630-0000 + sleep.

Your role will be to support the residents with every day life and to enable them to develop the skills to move on from the service. You will be there to offer support with making positive decisions and in accessing information and services to promote employment, education and gaining their own accommodation. You will also support them with gaining the skills and confidence to walk away from negative aspects of their life and promote positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have had experience in supporting service users from a variety of backgrounds and will be a resilient and compassionate individual who is able to offer a non-judgemental approach. Experience working within a hostel is desired.

For this role we require 12 months experience working in the health and social care sector and an enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not already possess a DBS, we can help you in applying for one.

Hourly rate £8.50 to £9.00.
