I am working with a service that provides accommodation for females who need support with a variety of issues, including mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic abuse.
We are looking for experience working in the Social Care Sector, an understanding of substance abuse and how to provide support to vulnerable adults and to be able to confidently go into the service apply your experience to hit the ground running. In return, you`ll have the flexibility to work to your own availability, as well has have the opportunity to work with me to find other services that suit what you are looking for.
Your role will be to support the residents with every day life and to enable them to develop the skills to move on from the service. You will be there to offer support with making positive decisions and in accessing information and services to promote employment, education and gaining their own accommodation. You will also support them with gaining the skills and confidence to walk away from negative aspects of their life and promote positive outcomes.
You will have had experience in supporting service users from a variety of backgrounds and will be a resilient and compassionate individual who is able to offer a non-judgemental approach. Experience working within a hostel is desired.
You`ll have 6months experience working in the health and social care sector and an enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not already have a DBS, I will help you apply for one.
Hourly rate £8.50 to £9.00.
