Property Officer/Housing Officer (Maintenance/Health and Safety)
-Salary £24,000pa (negotiable)
-Based in Croydon (must be willing to travel regularly to managed properties in and around South London).
-Full time (40hrs week)

This fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer in the Croydon area for on a full-time basis. The right person will be working in partnership with colleagues in operational teams to ensure that housing management within the organisation is carried out to a high standard and meets commissioner, legal and regulatory requirements.

Suitable candidates must have:
-A current DBS check, as all posts are subject to the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Please note that any criminal convictions disclosed will be subject to a risk assessment.
-References (that are satisfactory my client`s organisation).
-Knowledge of relevant legislation including housing benefit, health & safety and data protection.
-Detailed knowledge of housing benefit and council tax benefits, case law and procedures/systems.
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

The successful candidate would be required to travel across the client`s properties and services within the local area. The right candidate must ensure that risk assessments, reporting and returns are completed and consistently up to date and accurate.

Any suitable candidates will be invited to attend an interview and may need to complete a selection test. Interview dates are being arranged.
