BS Social Care presents an exciting new opportunity that has arisen to work as a Housing Support Officer for an outstanding homeless support organisation.

The employer is an outstanding organisation based in East Lancashire that helps the homeless to find more permanent accommodation. They work with adults aged 21 and over and there facilities can provide for over 40 people.

Your role will entail helping the service users to manage their benefits and help them to find permanent accommodation whether it be with the local authority or with private landlords. You will also assist with housing applications and make sure that they are registered with the correct medical professionals.

The successful candidate will be empathetic as well as someone who is wanting to go above and beyond to do what is best for the service users. You will also be expected to be a good listener as well as a good judge of character.

Essentially you will have knowledge of the sector whether it be personal or profession and willing to but that knowledge into practice within this 12 month interim post.
