Job Description

We are looking for a candidate with strong admin/ HR background to join our client NHS England as a HR Administrator. These are long - term temporary roles with extension possible subject to business requirements.

If you have strong communication/people/customer service skills (verbal and written) then this may be the role for you.

If you have a HR background or want to establish a career in the HR industry this could also be a great pathway in to this, with progression opportunities available for the right candidate!

We would be open to speak with recent HR graduates as well

  • Location: Working from home but then a hybrid model will be introduced where you will work some days in the office and some days at home. The offices are based in Leeds city centre LS1 so you need to be local to Leeds
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 37.5 hours a week - 9-5
  • Assignment length: February 2022 but will most likely be extended subject to business requirements
  • Salary: £9.09 but raises to £10.09 per hour after 12 weeks (19,675)

NHS England and NHS Improvement are working together as a new single organisation to better support the NHS to deliver improved care for patients.

The role:

The role will be split between 2 teams, working with Yorkshire & North W ast and also working with the North West department

As a HR Administrator, the post holder will participate in the following activities:

  • Plan and carry out administrative tasks, working independently, taking guidance and advice from line manager.
  • Prepare word processing documents, letters, emails and reports when/if required.
  • Plan and organise meetings for the department and plan any administrative work as required.
  • Exercise judgement when dealing with queries, resolving issues where possible and escalating as appropriate.
  • As the first point of contact for the team, managing a range of queries and issues from colleagues, patients, and a range of organisations.
  • Ensure complaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with sensitively and helpfully, referring on as needed.
  • Explain sometimes complex administrative and team processes in an easy to understand way to colleagues, patients or external organisations.
  • Working together with other administrators/PA's across the organisations to provide an effective network of communication including dealing with visitors and being flexible to cover other administrator's general duties.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Strong communication skills as will be dealing with various different stakeholders
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Be able to work at a fast pace
  • Admin experience
  • HR background but this is not essential
