Job Description

Our client located in Preston, Lancashire are seeking an experienced HR Advisor (or a HR Assistant looking to progress) to join their small and friendly team. This company offers consolidated claims management outsourcing services via expert validation for all UK insurers. You will be providing a full range of HR services to all businesses within the group.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in a variety of HR matters, ranging from entry-level up to Director level. There will even be opportunities to gain experience with upskilling management in HR disciplines and assisting with onboarding and inducting new starters in the company.

You will be experienced enough to:
o Provide professional and confidential HR advice, support and administration across the full range of HR activity; including employee relations issues, policies and procedures.

o Support in employment relations issues such as discipline, grievance, appeals, change and absence management ensuring all processes are dealt with fairly, commercially and pragmatically. Identifying any potential risks to the business, conducting thorough investigations, fully considering the right course of action and identifying areas for improvement.

o Provide HRIS support as required to the HR function and wider business, including reporting and data analysis.

o Oversee the transactional HR activities, ensuring accuracy to ensure the HR processes and procedures are compliant.

o Deliver the HR element of employee induction and onboarding.

o Support in the recruitment life cycle to advertise vacancies, liaise with recruitment agencies, participate in recruitment panels.

o Support the development of line managers in the Hr disciplines and soft skills via coaching, training and online solutions.

o Ensures all HR admin and data is maintained appropriately with 100% accuracy.

Drive and support employee engagement activities

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700 (1-hour lunch)

LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire, UK (The role will be a blend of office working and home based)

SALARY: £24K - £30K (negotiable depending upon experience)
